This is a tough one because calling someone a miracle worker seems like it could only be an overstatement to say the least, but working with Max has been a life changing experience.Seth B.

Every session at Physica Medica is 45–60 minutes with the same doctoral-level therapist, fellowship-trained in orthopaedic manual therapy. The antidote to the chain-clinic shuffle for patients in Canton, Fells Point, Harbor East and Federal Hill.

If you've been through the PT mill, 20 minutes of hands-on and then handed off to a tech with a sheet of exercises, you already know why that didn't work. We built Physica Medica to be the opposite of that.
You see the same fellowship-trained therapist every visit. Forty-five to sixty minutes, undivided. Diagnosis grounded in evidence, treatment shaped by what's actually wrong with you, not a protocol photocopied from a corporate playbook. It's the kind of care a recommendation from a friend should lead to. We aim to confirm it.
FAAOMPT clinicians treat hands-on, then teach you to keep the gains.
No rotating juniors. No exercise sheets handed to a tech.
Time to actually treat: assess, work, re-test, and plan.
Insurance questions answered up front. No mystery bills.
Five distinct manual therapy modalities, performance-grade movement work, and specialized programs for prenatal, scoliosis and post-surgical recovery. All delivered by the same therapist who diagnoses you.
Hands-on work where the diagnosis demands it. Trained, not freelanced.

Precise trigger-point release for stubborn muscle knots and chronic tension that hands-on alone can't reach.

Maks is terrific. He did wonders with my posture and eliminating aches and pains in my shoulders and back. I continue to see him for a regular “tune up”.Tim W.
Almost nothing is worse than when your body is in pain. Max expertly treated my symptoms, accurately determined the cause, and, perhaps most importantly, educated and empowered me through the entire process. He is ridiculously knowledgable and even more compassionate.Katie M.
Plain answers. If yours isn't here, our front desk takes calls weekdays, or browse the full FAQ.
See all FAQsThree things, in order. First, you'll see the same fellowship-trained therapist every session: a DPT with FAAOMPT credentials, held by under 1% of practicing physical therapists nationally. Second, sessions are 45–60 minutes, one-on-one, with no techs and no rotating staff. Third, our plans are built around your case, not a corporate protocol. Most patients reach us by referral from an orthopaedist, surgeon, OB, or a friend who's been through the chain-clinic experience and wanted something different.
We're an out-of-network provider, a deliberate choice that lets us spend a full hour with you instead of the 15–20 minutes most in-network clinics can afford. Many patients get reimbursed by their plan; we provide the paperwork. We'll walk you through what to expect to pay before your first visit, in plain numbers. No mystery bills, no surprise codes.
Two ways. Book your assessment online and pick a time directly on our calendar, or call 443-228-8029. If you're not sure whether PT is the right next step, or which service fits your case, request a complimentary 30-minute movement screen. You'll meet with a therapist, walk through your history, and leave with a recommendation. No pressure, no obligation.
Most "PT didn't work" stories share a pattern: short visits, rotating staff, protocol-driven exercise lists, and minimal hands-on work. If that's been your experience, you haven't actually tried what we do. Fellowship-trained manual therapy in a concierge format is a different intervention, and we'll tell you honestly within the first session if we think we can help you.
